Every month we issue the energy consumption invoices for your tenants. These invoices can be entirely customized to suit your needs. The invoice is typically issued within 72 hours after receiving the meter reading. The total energy cost of the building is then splitted among your tenants. The common areas can be invoiced to the owner or distribuded among the tenants.
It is not necessary to have a meter installed for each tenants in order to be able to fairly distribute the Hydro Quebec bill among all tenants. We can estimate, with an 85%-95% accuracy, the consumption of small energy consumer tenant’s or the ones where the consumption does not vary much months after months. The estimate is based on a survey of all your tenants equipment and backed up by sporadic measurement.
The invoice will include the tenant own consumption and, if applicable, his portion of the common load (ex: building central HVAC system) and common areas. We can invoice the tenant directly on you behalf if you so desire with copy to you. Invoices are signed by a Professional Engineer.

Note: Regulation requirement: In Canada any person or organization wanting to sell electricity or gas (excluding gasoline) on the basis of measurement must hold a certificate of registration issued under the authority of subsection 6(2) of the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act. Furthermore the meter used must be approved by Measurement Canada and bear the Measurement Canada seal.
